How and what to recycle

Unless you have the equipment to do it, recycling can be difficult; luckily, most councils now have regular recycling collections as part of their refuse collection services. Forward thinking companies who provide recycling points also have suitable collection points.

The exact items, which can be recycled, vary depending on who is supplying the recycling service. Councils provide colour-coded bins to put certain types of products such as tin, paper, plastic and garden waste. The exact service available will depend on your location.

Remember when putting out recycle bins, to make sure to cover them for protection from wind and rain.

If your home does not have recycle bins, contact your local council.
