- Book an energy performance certificate
- Reduce unnecessary waste
- Reuse as many things as you can or pass them on to someone else
- Recycle as much household waste as you can
- Replace blown bulbs with more efficient ones
- Walk short distances instead of driving
- Take the bus or train whenever you can
- Bicycle to work or car share with workmates
- Switch electrical appliances off (including lights) when not needed
- De-frost fridges regularly (if needed)
- Use washing machines on a lower temperature where possible
