About this document
Details of the assessor and their accreditation scheme are given and how to contact the assessor, if you have any questions regarding the EPC the details are here on how to do so. There is also a related party disclosure on the certificate, this declaration, is where the surveyor gives details of any relationship that they may have with the property owner.
If you have a complaint or wish to confirm that the certificate is genuine
There are also details of how to complain about the survey or the surveyor, the surveyor will have a written complaints procedure, this details the steps involved in making complaints.
We will take complaints very seriously and do our utmost to resolve any complaint should one occur.
Feedback is always welcome, and we are always looking at ways to improve our service.
About the bulding’s performance ratings
Further information is provided in a general form about the buildings performance rating which also gives an average rating value which at the time of writing is band E (rating 46.)
About the impact of buildings on the environment
The next paragraph then gives more general information on the impact of buildings in the environment. It is estimated that the average household is responsible for producing about 6 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
A recurring theme throughout EPCs is, of course; by following the suggestions on the EPC, you can reduce you carbon impact and emissions.
