EPC banding

So that it is easier, bandings make it quicker to compare items with ratings based on letters from A to G. A is the best rating and G is the worst or most energy hungry.

As shown in the image, the current and potential bands are C. Installing the improvements from the suggestions on the EPC, the banding will be two rating points below band B, however, from taking further measures; a rating of band B is achievable.

Using different colours to the EER bands, the environmental impact bands have the same letters; A to G. By taking the suggested improvements in the EPC, the energy efficiency improves by seven rating points whereas the environmental rating points change by six points.

As explained earlier, there is no direction correlation between energy cost and energy emissions. This is because fuels have a different cost attached and emission value.
