What is an EPC?

Energy performance certificates are the result of a visual survey carried out on properties. The image shown is page 1 of 6; the following pages will break the whole EPC down into their component parts and explain in a bit more detail what it actually means.

The sample EPC based on a 1950s semi-detached house, shows a reasonable score of 70 in band C, with an achievable score of 78 also in band C.
