Home information packs

Home information pack components

Through the introduction of the HIP, the speed of moving home has improved significantly. The pack should be in place before marketing can commence, because of the delays in getting some of the information, a lite pack will be available until all of the searches are complete.

Packs contain important information used by your conveyancer or solicitor to make sure that when you buy a house, you legally become the owner and have the details of any potential problems.

EPC (energy performance certificate)

The pack combines all the searches required when moving home and introduced the EPC (energy performance certificate) which is now a required document.

PIQ (property information questionnaire)

Another document which is now required is the PIQ (property information questionnaire) which is simply a question sheet for the HIP that informs potential buyers of some more information upfront.

Ordering a HIP

After you have instructed us to supply your HIP (home information pack), we will make arrangements to survey your property and conduct the energy performance survey and issue the EPC.

When booking your HIP, please let us know if the property is freehold or leasehold, there will be some other information required; however, we can cover that when the need arises.

A home information pack ordered through this site avoids any commission payments saving money for you to use as you please. Based in South Northamptonshire, we also cover Oxfordshire and Warwickshire; Daventry, Towcester, Southam, Banbury and Brackley are all very close by and easily serviced.

Contact us to order your HIP (home information pack) or ask any questions you may have.

Note: Supplying a lite HIP relies on the completion of the EPC survey and PIQ.
